Easter 2023

On March 25th our ward put on an Easter Egg Hunt and it was a success! The decorations were beyond cute and the food was great (potlucks always are). The eggs were spread throughout the ball field by our chapel and after the hunt, we were able to mingle and have the kids play on the questionable playground by the picnic area. Here are the photos from that event:

Now for the decorations!

The said questionable playground equipment.

Sam made this delicious coconut cake for Easter.

We have a couple traditions for Easter. We skipped out on dyeing eggs this year, more because the boys dyed some in Activity Day Boys from the church than the current price of eggs (although the second did play a little part in it). We did hide Easter baskets in the morning and did an Easter egg hunt after church.

Eden's was on the top shelf of the bookcase.

Noah's was in the corner on the ottoman and Eli's was in the front closet.

Joseph's was in the dryer.

We had an Easter "linger-longer" after Sacrament meeting.

Our Easter best!

Eli built this Easter bunny from his Easter basket. It's so cute!

Time for the hunt!

Even the squirrel joined the action.

Hope that's squirrel doing okay...

Eli's a sport!

He is Risen! Happy Easter!

Visits with Family/Easter 2022

The month of April was filled with family fun and this post will hopefully cover everything. I might have stolen pictures from everyone as I am a terrible picture taker. Like, very terrible. Blogging back to back is reminding me to take a lot more pics. Thank you Jenny, Shauna, and Jessica for letting me use your photos!

First off, Jared and Jenny came down to go to Universal for a couple days and were awesome to visit us on one of the days. We took them to the beach in Santa Monica, then they were insanely nice to take our kids to Target to buy them toys. AND they bought us dinner. Thank you so much for spoiling us!!

Milo really loved Noah.

I see the family resemblance!

Cousins!

Sure it was cold, but we enjoyed the scenery!

It might have been a little too cold for him looking back...

Thank you for the family photo!

Enjoying In N Out after a fun trip to Target!

Enjoying the gifts generously given!

Noah ABSOLUTELY loved balls around this time.
You see it in his face after he picked this one out.

After a wonderful visit from Jared and Jenny, the kids and I decided to head east to Albuquerque for spring break. My parents managed to come down to visit for a few days before driving with me. It really meant a lot that they flew down as it has been really hard for them to leave the house due to taking care of my Grandma full time. Sam's parents were so nice in hosting us for the week. Sadly I didn't take too many photos so I don't remember all the events. I do remember all the Albuquerque Hobbs came together, then I was able to spend time with each family separately. I also got to more fully meet my sister's twins. Here are the pictures!

Noah asleep on my parents' hammock.

Grandpa hanging with our little man.

Noah fits right in. Triplets!

Cool man Hudson.

Sweet girl Harper.

Noah sharing their puffs with them.

Look at those matching binkies. What a coincidence!

We got to go to Freddie's and Explora with Jacob and Shauna, along with Grandma Hobbs. It was a super fun outing and I'm so glad cousins got to spend time together. Thank you Shauna for these photos. The camera quality on phones these days, wow!

Freddies!

Those faces!

Enjoying Explora.

Fun, quality time.

Cousins!

Until next time (which was later in July)!

The day before we left for home Jessica invited us to an Easter egg hunt hosted by her friends. Again, I'm a lousy picture taker, so the only photo I could find of this event was stolen from her blog. It was so fun to hang out together one last time on the trip.

Sweet baby boy!

Easter was that Sunday, so the kids got to dye eggs at my parents' on Friday. They have quite the egg collection due to how many chickens they are housing. We got to hold their "chicks". My mom didn't name the last one so Joseph said Josephine was a nice name. My mom like that suggestion!

Holding the chicks.

Egg time!

My favorite color that came out.

Eden's favorite egg. Pink, sparkly, and very decorated.

Having fun at Grandma's.

My dad was very kind to drive back with me on Saturday as Sam wasn't able to make it on this trip. We made it in time to enjoy an Easter egg hunt at home and eat some rib-eye roast with the missionaries.

It's become the go-to meal for any holiday :P

Whew! Thanks to my sweet sister-in-laws who are better picture takers than me so I could document these visits. Sadly I didn't get any of my time at Grandma and Grandpa Hobbs house. I remember coming around the same time as their long time friends the Sorensens and it was super fun! Hopefully by this next Easter I'll be caught up on this blog!
